The Infectious Disease and Epidemiology Research group in the School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences wish to appoint two Research Facilitators to help support the technical aspects of research activities and to assist with the day to day running of research studies undertaken by the group. The research group is based within the Faculty of Medicine at Southampton General Hospital.
Our group is undertaking a number of projects looking at the epidemiology of respiratory pathogens. Applications are invited from those with relevant experience of laboratory based microbiology and experience of research governance. Experience of bacterial identification is desirable. These posts are full-time but consideration will be given to those who wish to work part-time. Applicants must be available to work with some flexibility.
These posts are required to start as soon as possible and are fixed term contracts until 31st December 2025, with the possibility of extension subject to funding. Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact Professor Stuart Clarke (s.c.clarke@soton.ac.uk) for more information.
