The role
We are seeking a Graduate Assistant to join our team, offering you a unique chance to apply your skills in live event production, recording studio management, and teaching support. Our Graduate Assistant programme offers an excellent springboard for those seeking to begin a career in teaching, with additional training opportunities to further your skills and experience.
In this role, you will assist in the technical management of school productions and events at the Olivier Hall and The North Wall Theatre, handling lighting, sound, video streaming, and recording. You will also support the delivery of our Music Technology courses by working with students on coursework preparation, composition, and the learning process. In addition, you will maintain the day-to-day operation of the recording studio, including monitoring its usage and ensuring the studio is well-equipped and operational.
There may also be an opportunity for you to live in a boarding house as a Resident Tutor. This will be discussed with candidates during the interview stage.
About you
We’re looking for a highly motivated, well-qualified graduate with a passion for music technology and technical theatre. You should have a solid understanding of live event production and AV systems, along with practical experience using music production software such as Logic, Ableton, or an equivalent. Experience with lighting rigging, focusing, and programming lighting boards is also essential.
