Project Manager
Salary: £60,000 - £73,000 DOE
Orion is partnered with a well-established business located in Nottingham which is recruiting for a bubbly, ambitious and driven Project Manager.
The company is an architectural fabrication company for the Construction industry and they are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager to join the team to help manage large-scale projects. The successful Project Manager will have strong metal work fabrication experience & knowledge - Balustrades, staircases, façades, cladding, canopies, etc.
Experience:
1. Proven cradle-to-grave project management experience
2. Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience within the architectural metalwork or construction industry.
3. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale architectural metalwork projects, from design to installation.
4. Strong communication & client servicing skills
5. Must be able to read, interpret & design CAD schematics from customer specifications.
6. Stakeholder management - Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholder’s needs and requirements continuously in view.
Technical Skills:
1. In-depth knowledge of metalwork fabrication processes, materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel), and installation techniques.
2. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and building regulations.
3. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Powerproject) and CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Tekla) is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of architectural metalwork projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
2. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
3. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
4. Oversee and coordinate with internal teams (design, fabrication, and installation) as well as external contractors and suppliers.
5. Manage and mentor project staff to ensure best practices are followed and performance goals are met.
6. Develop and manage project budgets, monitoring costs to ensure financial efficiency.
7. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
8. Prepare regular financial reports for senior management and clients.

Shifts: Monday – Friday – Core hours 08:00 – 17:30. There will be a requirement to drive to site so a UK driver's license is a necessity.
