Our client is recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance department. You will be skilled in property maintenance, managing and maintaining a large portfolio of residential homes and commercial premises in Cambridgeshire.
While maintaining the required standards and adhering to legal legislation, you will provide a safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance service for the business and properties they manage on behalf of others.
This is a pivotal role within the business and an opportunity for the right candidate to lead and implement change. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, a broad set of skills, and the ability to manage their own workload and prioritize regular tasks alongside urgent issues.
It is key that you are technology savvy, as you will need to review processes to enable the maintenance department to run more efficiently by embracing new technology. You will have assistance to help deal with the administrative tasks of the role while leading, strategizing, investigating, and taking overall responsibility. This remains a 'hands-on' role.
Key responsibilities:
1. Proactively manage the Maintenance Department and all staff within it.
2. Report to the Executive Director and the Board on the performance of the Maintenance Department.
3. Continually review processes and procedures to look for improvement and efficiencies, and drive change.
4. Manage the health and safety of the Maintenance Department, ensuring compliance with all company Health and Safety policies and all legal requirements.
5. Ensure the department maintains a professional and customer-oriented relationship with staff, clients, tenants, and members of the public.
6. Be a supportive member of the Management Group.
7. Be a supportive member of the company Health and Safety Group, ensuring the safety of maintenance staff, properties, and the public.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm.
