Our client, based at the London Gateway site, is seeking a highly skilled professional with at least five years of experience at the Office Manager level, ideally within the logistics and shipping sector. Key Responsibilities: Communicating effectively with department heads to ensure smooth operations. Relaying import information and policy updates from upper management. Implementing initiatives to enhance team productivity and engagement. Managing administrative tasks, office supplies, and inventory. Supervising and coordinating administrative staff. Developing and implementing office policies and procedures for efficiency. Ensuring optimal use of technology and resources to streamline operations. Desirable Knowledge and Skills: Experience communicating with UK and overseas agents via phone and email. Familiarity with FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) cargo movements. Proficiency in using in-house systems for data entry and management. Ability to advise customs on shipment updates and handle customs clearance. Knowledge of general ocean import processes, including releases, deliveries, and billing.
