The Role

Job title: Group HR Manager
Location: Head Office, E4 7RW - Travel to our other offices in Hackney, Romford, Erith, Southwark and Norfolk will feature.
Working Times: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 17:00
Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum

Our Expectations
This is primarily an Operational People Management role, suiting an experienced HR Generalist, reporting directly to the COO. You will undertake highly practical, people-based activities across the Kinovo Group of Companies. Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing effective recruitment, performance management, disciplinaries, appraisals, staff development training; TUPE’s; and a variety of ER issues at any one time, acting as the escalation point of contact for all employee related issues across the Group.
• Lead on and participate in any people-related Social Value activities including attendance at Recruitment Fairs, promoting the Kinovo Group as an Employer of Choice, and ensuring relevant links are established with our Clients’ Employability services, including promoting and undertaking activities to support the hiring of people from under-represented workforces, including those with a neurodiverse condition, ex-offenders, BAME and LGBTQ communities, and women into construction.
• Strategically you will provide input to the Exec Board’s Remuneration Committee and will actively recommend improvements to the HR practices across the Group, ensuring we remain a competitive employer within our sector.
Skills/Qualifications:
• Qualified to MCIPD or Associate Level.
• Strong operational HR management experience, ideally within the Building Services/Construction Sector
• Strong ER knowledge and practical experience
• TUPE knowledge, understanding all legal implications and ability to resource plan and comply with legal obligations.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law issues and the ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and common-sense approach.
• Familiar with best practice redundancy processes and experienced in coaching managers through this and leading where necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – handling complex and difficult situations with thought and confidence.
• Ability to draft and respond in writing to ensure legal compliance and minimum exposure to potential Tribunal situations
• Must have a full driving licence and own transport as travel between offices will feature.
