Description To support and empower management across Head Office and Owned Depot teams in providing high-quality and efficient people management and services into their respective teams. Responsible to: HR Senior People Partner Skills/Knowledge and Experience: Strong communication skills Ability to work independently, with excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads Ability to work professionally whilst under pressure and to time constraints Good knowledge of UK employment law Excellent planning skills with the ability to analyse problems and recommend solutions CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualification Strong negotiation and coaching skills Main Responsibilities: The main areas of responsibility and expectations for this role are as detailed below: Head Office: Provide a high level of support and guidance to managers to drive measurable improvements across the following people management practices: Employment Relations matters such as disciplinary, capability, welfare, absences and grievance issues. Resource and Talent Management such as recruitment, onboarding, leavers processes, internal and external training requirements fully utilising the Company’s Apprenticeship Levy funds where appropriate as well as ensuring succession planning in business areas. Performance and Reward Management such as performance management, performance development processes, and supporting in any reward recognition schemes (i.e. length of service, remuneration reviews). Support in employee engagement and the promotion of a culture that champions mental health and wellbeing. Meeting regularly with Managers to discuss key HR KPI metrics in their business areas and HR support services required to ensure strong people management practices across all departments. Review monthly KPI reports prepared by the HR Officer, Systems and support department managers to interpret their data and implement initiatives for improvements. Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures, conducting research and delivering training where necessary Support in the creation and/or review of training material, and the delivery of training wherever possible through the HR IT System eduMe. Provide a proactive and flexible HR service to our staff while championing best practice. Oversee and support the implementation of HR IT Software across all departments, at both an employee and management level. Providing HR support to other Assistant People Partner Areas which include Night Operations, Day Operations, Transport and Maintenance. Complete special projects as and when required. Any other duties that the position may require.
