Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified and compassionate Social Worker to provide support and guidance to clients facing social, emotional, and practical challenges. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, empathy, and a proactive approach to client care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess clients' needs and develop tailored support plans based on individual circumstances and goals
2. Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and emotional support to individuals and families
3. Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other social services to coordinate client care
4. Ensure clients receive the services and resources they need, advocating on their behalf when required
5. Maintain accurate, detailed records and case notes, adhering to confidentiality and safeguarding policies
6. Conduct home visits, if applicable, to evaluate living conditions and assess any additional support needs
7. Follow up with clients regularly to review progress and adjust care plans as necessary
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Degree in Social Work: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Social Work, accredited in the UK
2. Registration with Social Work England: Must be a registered Social Worker with Social Work England, meeting all current licensing requirements
3. Enhanced DBS Check: A clear and current enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
4. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in social work, ideally in a healthcare or social services setting
5. Understanding of UK Legislation: Strong knowledge of UK social work principles, safeguarding practices, and relevant legislation, including the Care Act, Children Act, and Mental Capacity Act
6. Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload
7. Driver’s License: Valid UK driver’s license (Required but not mandatory)
