Job Overview
The role of the Electrical Maintenance Specialist is to oversee all electrical, electronic, and process control work on the plant.
This includes providing first-line maintenance and breakdown support, including internal and external plant lighting.
The ideal candidate will have HNC qualified or proven electrical experience in large steel making operations.
Familiarity with the melting shop environment and its processes is also essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing electrical activities on shift, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
They will also perform electrical installation work in line with BS7671 Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
Additionally, they will assist in planning shift activities requiring specialized electrical expertise and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The Electrical Maintenance Specialist will also be responsible for reporting and documenting plant breakdowns, contributing to Single Event Analysis (SEA) and implementing preventive measures.
Maintaining accurate engineering records in SAP is also a key responsibility of this role.
Strong practical Mechanical/Electrical hands-on skills are required, as well as the ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
