We require a Project Manager for a Civils and Utility project in the Newport area for a 12 month+ contract.
Job Detail:
Core Duties:
1. Client facing, overseeing 3 or 4 teams of people.
2. Site or project management.
3. Coordination with highways personnel, subcontractors, drilling company, and various stakeholders including Traffiq Cymru / Traffic Wale.
4. Programme management / P6 planning.
5. Logistics and procurement management.
6. Management of labour and materials.
7. Sorting external subcontractors or in-house labour.
8. Health and safety compliance.
9. Change management, including logging changes formally.
10. Ensuring Early Warning Notices are logged and documentation is auditable.
Daily Responsibilities:
1. Liaising with the client.
2. Ensuring all resources are in place.
3. Managing procurement and design aspects.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Civil knowledge and knowledge of drilling (auger bore or Horizontal Directional Drilling).
2. Minimum of a HNC (ideally a degree or NVQ Level 7).
3. Experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with NEC 3 or 4 knowledge.
4. Prince 2 or APM qualification.
5. Knowledge of CDM and ideally trained in it.
6. P6 planning knowledge.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of AutoCAD.
2. Knowledge of CEMAR / ThinkTools (Built Asset Lifecycle Software).
Essential Competencies:
1. Full UK driving licence.
