Social Care / Abuse - Solicitor - Manchester - Up to £50,000 salary
The Role
We are pleased to represent a Legal 500 insurance firm in their search for a Solicitor to join their Abuse/Social Care team, defending claims made against Social Care providers and Local Authorities.
Due to the development and continued growth of the firm’s Social Care department, it is now seeking to appoint a Solicitor to represent both Local Authorities and Social Care providers in claims brought against them relating to failure to remove children, bullying, claims under the Human Rights Act and issues surrounding data protection.
Often these cases garner significant media attention, so the ideal Candidate will come from a background in which they have handled press liaison and management.
The Candidate
* A Solicitor with NQ-6 Years' PQE
* Prior Personal Injury Experience
* Experience in working on cases with high levels of press and media attention
* Able to conduct evidence reviews, allegation drafting and prepare opening notes
* Excellent organisation and time-management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts
* Professional and effective communication with individual and business contacts
