Position: Hygiene Operative
Location: Kinnerton Confectionery, Fakenham NR21 8AF
Position type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40.25
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, Monday - Sunday, 06:00 - 18:00
Pay range: £12.50/hour (£26,162.50 equivalent)
Breaks: 30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid
We are looking for a dedicated person to maintain high standards of cleaning, housekeeping and adhere to all relevant site & job cleaning schedules and work instructions including flexibility on performing different tasks across different departments within the hygiene team including Mould wash and Nut try wash.
Responsibilities
* Maintain high standards of cleaning, housekeeping and adhere to all relevant site & job cleaning schedules and work instructions including Mould wash.
* Record completion of relevant cleaning activities and ensure due diligence in accordance with Company Procedures. Report and record incomplete tasks to ensure effective corrective action may be managed for critical tasks.
* Ensure effective segregation and correct disposal of out of spec product, waste, recyclable materials etc.
* Identify and communicate any food safety, pests or environmental issues with Management and other team members to report any non-conformances or out of spec results to the Hygiene Co-Ordinator.
* Ensure individual compliance with all legislative, statutory and Company regulations regarding Health & Safety.
* Follow all job specific and HACCP instruction, training, guidelines, and briefings.
* Ensure key, critical plant and equipment is clean and available for operation in a safe and hygienic manner to contribute efficiently as part of a team to achieve the departmental KPI’s.
* Share knowledge and/or best practice with other team members.

Desirable:
* Previous experience in hygiene/cleaning within a food manufacturing or similar environment.
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate/ HACCP / COSHH certification.
* Experience working within a Hygiene Team.
