Registered Manager £39,513 per annum 37 Hours (9-5 Monday to Thursday and 9-4:30pm Friday) Bangor As Registered Manager, you will play a key leadership role, ensuring the service operates in compliance with regulatory standards while delivering high-quality care and support. You will be registered with RQIA and be accountable for ensuring the service meets Residential Care Agencies Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011 and the Department of Health Residential Care Agency Minimum Standards. You will be accountable for ensuring that all regulatory requirements and standards are met and maintained. You will share responsibility in the organisation for realising its vision and upholding its core values, working as part of a wider team of leaders. The job site: The service provides 24-hour care for adults with learning disabilities, with or without physical disabilities. It offers both permanent beds and respite provision, all of which are registered and regulated by the relevant regulatory body. Respite users can access planned stays through a schedule, with dates allocated in advance in collaboration with the individuals, their families, and the relevant Health and Social Care Trust. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance Ensure service meets RQIA standards and relevant regulations. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary updates. Quality Assurance Monitor care quality to meet RQIA standards. Participate in RQIA inspections, addressing any recommendations. Leadership and Management Provide strong leadership and ensure effective communication. Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance appraisals. Safeguarding and Safety Implement safeguarding protocols and respond to concerns. Oversee risk management and ensure effective reporting. Key Duties and Responsibilities Ensure service aligns with the Statement of Purpose. Coordinate care plans, risk assessments, and admissions. Promote co-production and engage with service users and families. Financial Manage service budget and report on expenditures. Monitor financial transactions for service users and ensure compliance. Internal Processes Ensure regulatory and quality standards are met. Participate in audits, implement corrective actions, and ensure GDPR compliance. Incident Management Manage incidents and ensure accurate reporting. Monitor trends in incidents and implement preventative actions. Health & Safety Ensure health and safety compliance through regular audits. Report accidents and contribute to business continuity plans. Organisational Capacity Ensure staff recruitment and complete inductions. Provide supervision and manage employee performance and absence. Team Leadership Act as a positive role model and foster a supportive work culture. Conduct team meetings and ensure staff awareness of best practices. Training & Development Identify training needs and ensure ongoing staff development. Contribute to Learning and Development planning. Service Development Support the company in promoting innovative practices. Contribute to business planning and the Strategic Plan. General Maintain high work standards and adhere to the company's values. Participate in on-call rota and ensure flexibility in duties. Essential Criteria: Qualifications & Experience: You must meet at least one of the following: A professional Social Work qualification and full registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC). A first-level registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. An allied health professional registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, with a minimum of four years experience in health or social care, including at least two years in a relevant operational management role. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Management) and eligible for registration, with a minimum of five years practice experience, including at least three years in a relevant operational management role. Experience: Management within a Registered/Regulated Service Knowledge: Experience in working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
