We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a part-time basis. The successful Accounts Assistant will be responsible for the effective administration of our operational finance function, focusing on purchase ledger management and ensuring efficient financial processes.
Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant:
1. Manage the full purchase ledger function, including posting invoices, making payments, and reconciling accounts.
2. Prepare and run creditor reports, maintaining control over financial spending and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
3. Assist with month-end and year-end processes, including data input and journal entries.
4. Handle ad-hoc finance queries promptly and professionally, fostering positive relationships with suppliers and staff.
5. Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial operations and procedures.
6. Ensure compliance with all Trust policies and statutory accounting procedures, maintaining the highest standards of accountability and confidentiality.
Key Skills Required of the Accounts Assistant:
7. Strong understanding of purchase ledger processes and financial administration.
8. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in transactional processing.
9. Ability to handle financial queries and communicate effectively with staff and suppliers.
10. Proficient in financial software and reporting tools.
11. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
