The data protection team acts as central point of contact for all data protection compliance issues and in ensuring the organisation’s compliance with Data Protection Principles and the post holder will contribute to this work by carrying out Data Protection Impact Assessments, investigating data protection breaches and providing data protection advice and guidance to colleagues across the Council. The Person The ideal candidate will have experience in advising on data protection issues, strong analytical skills, and extensive knowledge of data protection law. Excellent communication skills, ability to deliver face-to-face and online training to small groups and work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders is essential. Experience within the public sector is preferred but not essential.
