We are looking to recruit an experienced Band 4 Multi-Therapist to join the Care Home Support Team for 1 year fixed term. This role will support the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists of the Postural Management Team (PMT) to residents in nursing and residential care homes. The role of the PMT is to prevent contractures, reduce risk of pressure damage and aid quality of life for residents with complex postural needs.
The role will support the initial assessment and review of residents requiring support with seating, bed positioning, specialist chairs and positioning cushions. Support with audits, ordering equipment and work with care home staff to aid implementation of positioning programmes.
You will be a team player and work collaboratively with staff from all disciplines whilst maintaining high professional standards. You will ensure good communication, and effective processes and procedures are maintained across the service.
The post holder will work 9-5pm, Monday to Friday based at Cremyll Road, Reading
Staff parking is available on site
Main duties of the job
1. To triage new referrals to the Postural Management Team
2. To provide accurate feedback to the relevant therapist regarding interventions and any clinical observations
3. To demonstrate the ability to use therapy equipment competently and safely once training has been received.
4. Provide administrative support to the Care Home Support Team
5. The postholder is expected to liaise effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, external organisations and the public, dealing with confidential information in an appropriate manner
6. To undertake any administrative duties associated with the service as requested by the team.
7. Work flexibly in response to service need across our multiple sites

25. Educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths as a minimum
26. Evidence of continuing professional development
27. NVQ 3 in relevant subject, or equivalent experience
28. A working knowledge of Microsoft products including excel

Previous Experience
