Fundraising Executive
Who are we: Since 1988, Everton in the Community has become a dynamic force for good, harnessing the unifying power of football to drive social change and addressing societal challenges across Liverpool City Region. Supported by a team of over 130 full-time staff and over 200 volunteers, the independently governed and independently financed charity offers an extensive array of more than 60 programmes and initiatives that tackle a diverse range of social issues. These programmes cover areas such as health, employability, anti-social behaviour, crime, exploitation, education, dementia, and disability.
Everton in the Community stands firmly beside the most at-risk and most in need members of its local communities, but the needs of the city are ever-growing and ever-evolving.
About the opportunity: Everton in the Community is seeking to appoint a Fundraising Executive to support and assist with delivery of the operational fundraising activities across the charity. The Fundraising Executive will also support the Fundraising Manager in undertaking industry research and support the planning, development, communication and implementation of the fundraising strategy meeting agreed targets within the context of the charity’s strategic direction.
Other key responsibilities will include:
1. With the support of the Fundraising Manager, play a key role in planning, developing, communicating and implementing of the fundraising strategy, meeting agreed targets within the context of the charity’s strategic direction.
2. To play a key role in the planning, preparation and delivery of all key fundraising products, events, campaigns and initiatives which take place throughout the year.
3. Working closely with external organisations with the aim of engaging and encouraging supporters to get involved in third-party fundraising events for the benefit of the charity as and when required.
4. Supporting in the generation of new leads that sit across the various fundraising products and initiatives including charity of the year.
5. Contributing to the production of timely reports on all aspects of potential and/or existing fundraising activities and events as required, to include, for example, developing case studies, obtaining quotes and testimonials, highlighting statistics and cataloguing pictures and videos.
6. Work closely with the charities internally Marketing Team to develop relevant promotional materials and communication campaigns for various fundraising products, events and campaigns.
7. Ensure that thorough risk assessments are carried out prior to fundraising events and activities, taking into account and reporting any potential hazards that may occur and doing everything possible to eradicate the risk.
Safeguarding
1. To understand the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines.
2. To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment.
Who we are looking for: We are looking for an individual who has proven experience of fundraising from a variety of sources and who has a sound understanding of the Charities Act and other legislation effecting fundraising ventures.
Our successful candidate will also demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience:
1. Project management qualification or equivalent - (desirable though not essential).
2. Experienced and comfortable with giving presentations.
3. Previous experience of events management and/or fundraising.
4. Enthusiasm for and commitment to the aims of EitC.
5. Good team player who can also work on own initiative.
6. Commitment to building a career in the charity sector.
7. Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who places high value on attention to detail.
8. Highly Computer literate (with strong abilities on Word, Excel and ideally Database knowledge and application).
9. Strong administration, organisational and planning skills, with an ability to look past the numbers.
10. An ability to adapt quickly, be flexible in the face of change and solution orientated.
11. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
12. Ability to anticipate and prioritise diverse workload.
13. Ability to carry through projects from conception to completion.

This position will be offered on a Permanent Contract working 35 hours per week, with the role being based across our Everton in the Community campus.
