KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / ROLE PURPOSE
To work within the Ultima Services Team as a Senior Technical Consultant, providing both pre-sales support and post-sales design and implementation in a way that clearly differentiates the company from other solution providers. Senior Technical Consultants at Ultima are involved in the full project lifecycle and will be completely self-motivated with an ongoing desire to maintain their knowledge level at the forefront of technology.
They will also be expected to ensure that solutions are provided in a quality fashion in keeping with the company’s relevant accreditations.
Finally, they will be expected to act as mentor to junior members of the services team.
The Senior Technical Consultant for Modern Workspace will specialise in the Microsoft 365 portfolio, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and Microsoft 365 security related products. This role requires a strong foundation in Entra ID and Active Directory to ensure seamless integration and management of identity services across the organization's cloud and on-premises environments.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The Senior Technical Consultant should possess the following essential knowledge, skills, and experience:
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Design, implement, and manage Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint services to enhance collaboration and productivity.
* Ensure robust Azure Active Directory and Active Directory integration for identity and access management.
* Provide expert guidance on migration, configuration, and optimization of Modern Workspace services.
* Collaborate with IT security to ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations.
* Offer pre-sales support and post-sales design and implementation for Modern Workspace solutions.
* Mentor and share knowledge with the services team to foster a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience with Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Purview services.
* Experience with one or more M365 migration tools such as Quest OnDemand, BitTitan MigrationWiz, ShareGate
* Strong expertise in Entra ID and Active Directory.
* Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
* Excellent communication and project management skills.
* Relevant certifications in Microsoft 365 and Azure services are highly desirable.
Nice to have:
* Experience with Microsoft Defender products
* Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Management (Intune)
* Experience with Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365
* Experience with other Identity providers such as Okta, Ping
Education and Experience:
Several years of experience in technical consultancy, or a similar role.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of various technologies, platforms, and architectural patterns.
Experience in designing, delivering and maintaining solutions that provide inherent value to a company.
Ability to implement new software, hardware, or specific infrastructure to meet clearly defined business needs or goals.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot technical issues.
Soft Skills:
Ability to write technical documents that explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
Other Responsibilities:
Ability to lead brainstorming sessions and other group meetings to find possible technological solutions for a business problem.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
