In this role, you will assist in organising engaging events for staff, students, and suppliers, including in-person activities on campus and webinars via Teams. You'll help the university track and evaluate the sustainability efforts of its supply chain to ensure we meet our environmental goals. Providing essential administrative support to the Procurement team, you will contribute to various projects and use IT systems like e-tendering and e-marketplace tools. You'll also support sustainable procurement initiatives by researching best practices, identifying lower-carbon alternatives, and engaging with users across the university to promote sustainable practices. As part of your learning, you'll conduct research to improve our processes and enhance the user experience. Additionally, you'll help create training materials focused on sustainable procurement for use across the university and assist in developing effective communication methods and materials, including PowerPoint presentations,
to maximise the use of technology in the department.

This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, allowing you to spend some time on campus and some from home. On-site work will be based at the Streatham campus. You will be required to attend the campus on Tuesdays when the entire team is on-site, but there is the option to increase your days on campus if that better suits your needs.

This permanent apprenticeship role is available immediately. You will be employed by the University of Exeter in the Procurement Services under University Corporate Services (PS Connect) at our Streatham campus in Exeter and will be enrolled on the Level 3 CIPS qualification, apprenticeship with Reach4skills. The starting salary for this role will be £25,261 apprentice grade C per year.
