Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a diligent and proactive Accounts & Tax Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone AAT qualified (or nearly qualified) with a few years of practice experience. You will be responsible for processing personal, partnership, and trust tax returns efficiently and accurately. In this role, you will work closely with the Tax Manager and other team members to ensure timely and compliant tax filings for our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and complete sole trader accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
2. Liaise with clients, staff members, and directors.
3. Track job progress and follow up on information requests.
4. Ensure significant correspondence is received and responses are obtained promptly.
5. Utilise various software programs, including Microsoft Office TaxCalc, FreeAgent, Xero, Hammock, and QuickBooks.
6. Work closely with sole trader clients, offering advice on their tax obligations and business performance.
Key Requirements
1. AAT qualified or nearly qualified, with a few years of experience in practice.
2. Experience completing sole trader and partnership accounts from QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and Xero.
