Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the offshore position of Process Operator.
Responsibilities:
1. Diagnostic and remedial work/operations in the event of plant upsets using relevant P&IDs, vendor manuals and other data to assist with corrective action.
2. Isolation and preparation for work of hydrocarbon production equipment.
3. Maintains accurate and comprehensive records, including event logs, maintenance records, override logs, chemical records and lube oil inventory.
4. Developing suggestions to improve plant, equipment and processes to ensure maximum efficiency within a safe environment.
5. Demonstrates commitment to continuous quality improvement through the development of applicable metrics.
6. Safe and efficient operation of a wide range of discrete packages and equipment, including high frequency PMR work, light mechanical repairs, documentation reporting and log keeping duties.
7. Actively participates in constituency safety meetings, group meetings, risk assessments and toolbox talks.
8. Carries out emergency duties as required on a normally unattended installation, including emergency control and command as well as control room operator emergency control duties.
9. Complies with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental requirements such as statutory requirements, Erskine safety case and environmental procedures manual.

Qualifications:
1. A recognised qualification and a background in industrial processes and equipment e.g., SVQ in Processing Operations.
2. Must have the ability to compile technical reports with associated drawings, pertaining to operations.
3. Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
4. Conversant in SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
5. Demonstrate a proactive, flexible and positive working attitude.
6. Shares knowledge freely with others to ensure best practices.
7. Continual personal development of alternative skills and qualifications is expected.
8. Demonstrate good leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a close, multi-discipline environment. Maintain positive and tactful relationships with others.
9. Conversant with Instrument based control systems such as ABB or Honeywell etc.
