The System Engineer role involves participating in cross-portfolio alignment and necessitates a combination of strong technical skills, experience, and a deep understanding of the Portfolio and its business-supporting capabilities. These experiences enable them to define detailed engineering solutions, comprehending the possibilities within current technology, anticipate the impact of future trends on the Agile Release Train. Defines domain-specific engineering solutions for features within the ART, working with the Solution Architect and Engineers from other domains where required
~ Defines low-level technical guardrails for engineering teams, including what changes can be made by the VS Squads versus central/enablement Squads
~ Works with System Engineers, System Architects and Product Managers to establish NFRs
~ Overall accountability for engineering quality of Features owned by the ART and non-functional approva l that it meets business/customer needs for release. Responsible for ART deployment to production, and the setup and execution of the CI/CD pipeline for the ART
~ Support squads during PI planning and delivery, effectively communicating the agreed solution and business outcomes it aims to achieve
~ Supports definition of enabler Features for driving engineering excellence
~ Expert proficiency with React, NodeJS, GraphQL, CSS.
Strong experience in contributing to large scale solution designs for the Web Ecosystem, knowing when to incorporate design patterns such as Domain-Driven-Design, DRY into your work, and the ability to handover this work to development teams.
Proven track record on leading the Engineering efforts of a project through its E2E lifecycle, from kick-off all the way to launch.
Strong communication, collaboration, and team skills (with both technology and business stakeholders)
Experience supporting squads during planning and delivery, effectively communicating the agreed solution and business outcomes it aims to achieve.
Demonstrable experience in ensuring the engineering quality of features, achieving non-functional approval to meet business/customer needs for release via CI/CD pipeline.
