1:1 Home Tutor (Warrington, WA1)
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young learners? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Home Tutor to provide personalised educational support to pupils in Warrington (WA1) who are outside of mainstream education.
About the Role:
* Location: Warrington, WA1 (with potential travel to nearby areas)
* Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
* Hours: Flexible
We work closely with local authorities to support learners who require tailored 1:1 tuition in their homes. Our pupils may be unable to attend mainstream school due to a variety of reasons, including medical, emotional, or behavioural challenges. As a Home Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping these learners build their confidence, develop key skills, and work towards their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Provide high-quality, 1:1 tuition in core subjects (English, Maths, and Science) or Functional Skills, adapted to meet the individual needs of each learner
✅ Develop and implement personalised learning plans to support progress and engagement
✅ Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and local authorities
✅ Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment to help learners thrive
Requirements:
* A recognised teaching qualification (such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) or extensive experience in 1:1 tuition
* Strong subject knowledge and experience delivering lessons at Key Stages 1-4 or Functional Skills level
* Experience working with pupils who have additional needs or face barriers to learning is highly desirable
* Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or willingness to obtain one
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
* A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to teaching
