We have an initially temporary Senior Mechanical Technician role available within CCEP's Edmonton site. This site is responsible for producing in excess of 50 million cases of beverages per year across 7 manufacturing lines.
This role is ideal for someone looking for an ad-hoc position to supplement an existing and non-conflicting role.
Role: Senior Mechanical Technician
Location: Coca Cola European Partners, 10, 10A Nobel Rd, London N18 3DJ
Rate: £34.14ph
Temporary holiday and absence cover so training will be shift-based followed by callouts on an ad-hoc basis. These shifts would be a combination of days and nights between Mon and Sun.
Responsibilities:
1. Safely maintain and improve production lines including their machinery
2. Providing technical expertise in relation to product and size changeovers
3. Providing technical support in relation to cleaning processes
4. Ensuring all asset care tasks are conducted in line with procedures
5. Adhering to the maintenance execution plan
6. Supporting operators and operator technicians with the maintenance plan
7. Conducting Root Cause analysis as and when required
8. Completing advanced preventive and breakdown maintenance
9. Completing both preventative and corrective complex asset care and breakdown maintenance
10. Ensuring effective use of the site Maintenance Management System (SAPPM)
11. Conducting QESH checks to ensure that product and equipment remain within specification and escalate any non-conformance immediately
12. Following Site Safety best practices to ensure safe working for self and to protect the safety of colleagues
13. Ensuring own personal hygiene meets requirements of food industry
14. Carrying out all pre-use inspections on machinery to ensure they are safe to operate
Essential Requirements:
1. Driving Licence and use of own vehicle
2. Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment in an Engineer or Technician role
3. Time served or NVQ level 3 and above qualified Mechanical Engineer
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills
5. The ability to be reactive to situations as soon as they arise
6. Flexibility towards shift patterns and call outs
7. Right to work in the UK
