Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Halesowen. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support, who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, and other additional learning needs.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to individual learning styles.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all pupils feel valued and encouraged.
* Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals to monitor and support pupil progress.
* Support pupils in both classroom settings and small group interventions.
* Encourage social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and effective communication.
Requirements:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
* Experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting.
* Knowledge of a range of SEN strategies and interventions.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting pupils.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
