Communications Officer (Band 5) - 317 NHIP Comms - The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – Tyne and Wear
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated communicator to join the Newcastle Health Innovation Partners (NHIP) team at Newcastle Hospitals.
The post holder would be responsible for communicating with a wide range of stakeholders on the exceptional and diverse health research taking place across our partnership. The role is based in Newcastle University and you would work closely with the NHIP Head of Communications.
Newcastle Health Innovation Partners (NHIP) brings together partners in health and care research, education and training. The partnership spans Newcastle, Hospitals, Newcastle University, Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, Newcastle City Council, Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria and Northumbria University.
Our purpose is to deliver collaborative health and care research, education and training to improve citizen health, address health inequalities and generate economic growth.
Communications in NHIP is a busy working environment, working with complex messaging and serving a wide range of stakeholders and audiences. The department plays a key role in managing and enhancing the reputation of the partnership. It leads on proactive and reactive communications via its website, social media, events, stakeholder newsletter, video and stakeholder engagement. We work closely with Communications teams from across our partnership and the wider network.
We are looking for a creative individual who is passionate about producing high quality written and visual content and has the ability to convey a variety of, often complex, messages to a number of audiences in a clear and accessible way.
This varied role includes overseeing events, developing our stakeholder newsletter, managing distribution lists, maintaining our website and social media management. You will also utilise your skills in content creation, design and copy writing as we promote health research partnership projects across our channels, and also maintain an up to date calendar of scheduled material and opportunities.
You would work with other communications leads across our partnership as well as our PPIE working group to tell our story to all of our audiences.
If you are a brilliant all-rounder, buzzing with ideas on how to engage our audiences in new ways, we would love to hear from you.
