Senior Quantity Surveyor

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor with a track record in managing commercial construction projects (JCT and NEC NOT housing) and with an understanding of CDM.

This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of office, site, and home working.
Please note that even with this being a hybrid position, you will still need to be within a reasonable and sustainable commute of Heanor in Derbyshire WITHOUT RELOCATING - no exceptions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Business Development to support project activities on tenders and quotes
2. Manage the project lifecycle from initial handover to closeout
3. Ensure detailed communications to support the project
4. Oversee all aspects of project performance
5. Understand and set out the project deliverables for both internal and external stakeholders
6. Maintain financial control and robust margin control
7. Ensure timely submission of milestones/invoices with appropriate documentation
8. Execute projects to the best advantage of the business
9. Manage project risk via risk registers
10. Carry out lessons learned for continuous improvement
11. Generate accurate project plans
Qualifications:
1. HNC qualified or equivalent (Essential)
2. HND or higher qualified (Desirable)
3. Formal Project Management qualification (e.g., Prince II or APMP) or familiarity with the defined processes
4. Formal CDM certification or understanding of CDM regulations would be useful
Experience:
1. Proven experience of delivering M&E design, manufacture, and install projects within Energy, Nuclear, Petrochemical, Aerospace, or similar industries (Essential)
2. Solid exposure to JCT and NEC contract types (Essential)
3. Gas Turbine knowledge would be desirable
4. Fabrication/manufacturing project management would also be desirable
Skills:
1. Excellent communication and organisation skills
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
3. Technical and numerical competence
4. Commercial Knowledge
5. Ability to work under pressure to meet customer deadlines
6. Management and people skills
7. Understanding of Primavera P3e, Microsoft Project or Asta Powerproject planning software (Desirable)
