Associate Director/Director Designate Civils needed to join a consultancy supporting the development industry. My client is an independent provider of flood risk, infrastructure, and highways design.
As the Associate Director/Director Designate Civils, you will be responsible for a variety of clients accompanied by extremely knowledgeable and passionate colleagues. This client's culture is dynamic and vibrant, encouraging you to shape your own future and providing support.
The Associate Director/Director Designate Civils will undertake strategic development planning and design work specializing in providing highways, infrastructure, and drainage advice to a wide range of private and local authority clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading and coordinating detailed design and implementation into projects throughout the construction phase.
2. Managing multiple projects simultaneously - strong time management skills are a must!
3. Managing resources and delegating tasks accordingly with support from an experienced technical team.
4. Supporting financial and commercial management through calculated project management.
5. Demonstrating strong knowledge in financial and contractual aspects of planning, bidding, and delivering on both large and small client projects.
6. Proven career history in client care and business development.
Essential Skills:
1. BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering.
2. Chartered status with at least 8-10 years of commercial experience.
3. Strong knowledge of legal processes, planning, design, design software, adoption and contract procedures, and drainage schemes including SUDS and infrastructure.
4. Knowledge of relevant design codes - sewers for adoption, SUDS manual, water industry act, and water environment.
5. Experience with drawings for contract documents S104, S106, S185, S38, S98, S278.
6. Proficiency in relevant software MicroDrainage & AutoCAD.
