Role Overview: As the Attendance Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving student attendance across the school. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help you build relationships with students, parents, and staff to ensure every student is given the support they need to attend school regularly. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and record student attendance and punctuality. Identify attendance issues and implement effective interventions. Communicate with parents and guardians regarding attendance concerns and support strategies. Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to promote a positive attendance culture. Prepare reports and analyse attendance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Collaborate with external agencies to support students and families facing attendance challenges. Participate in school meetings and contribute to attendance-related initiatives. The desirable candidate will: Experience in an educational setting, ideally in attendance or pastoral support roles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyse data and develop strategies for improvement. Proficient in Microsoft Office and school management systems.
