About Us:
Eriez Europe designs, develops and manufactures industry-leading magnetic separation, metal detection, fluid recycling and vibratory equipment for over 80 industries. We are a multinational company with our European headquarters having been established in the Caerphilly/Bedwas area for over 50 years. We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join our team.
About the Role:
This role is responsible for supporting Eriez customer base by completing service/commissioning visits worldwide, whilst overseeing the administration of all service support documentation. The successful candidate will spend an average of 3 days per week on site visits, and will also be required to work occasional weekend shifts. This role can be based anywhere in the UK. However, as part of training and onboarding, the successful candidate will need to be on site (Bedwas, Caerphilly) for approximately 8 weeks (all expenses will be covered).
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out service/commissioning visits worldwide. These visits could involve long journeys either by car (provided) or plane.
2. Calibration of Eriez equipment.
3. Carry out repairs of equipment returned by customers to the factory.
4. Sale of spare parts of Eriez equipment, preparing quotations and orders.
5. Assist customers and internal personnel with technical questions.
6. Preparation of documentation for international and domestic travel.
7. Preparation of commissioning, servicing and calibration visit documentation.
8. Training of customers and agents – both at Eriez facilities or at customer sites.
9. Involved in finding solutions on site including equipment and installation problems.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
2. Electronic and electrical experience.
3. Mechanical experience, such as reading drawings & assembly.
4. Ability to read electrical schematics.
5. A natural problem solver, with good customer service skills.
6. Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
7. Naturally focused - able to retain a clear view of the overall objective when working under pressure.
8. Worldwide travel to customers sites is an integral part of the role, so you must be comfortable with this.
