Product Compliance Engineer Quality & Product Compliance is a key department in Brompton as we aim to guide and inform early product development, ensure continued compliance of our existing product range, and look to explore the opening of new markets through thorough research and investigation. Brompton's obligations are not just conform to Product Safety and Standards, we must also meet environmental & sustainability requirements, including the management of a wide range of parts and accessories (P&A). The ideal candidate will be someone with a degree in a related field of Engineering with an active interest in product integrity or someone with successful experience in relation to regulatory activities. As our Product Compliance Engineer your work is essential to ensure we meet the legal obligations placed on us in our global markets that we operate in. In this role you will be reporting into our Product Compliance Manager. You will be: accountable for P&A product compliance for the entire product lifecycle guiding our product development to comply with global product safety regulations on labeling and packaging within Brompton's Parts and Accessories Catalogue integrating product compliance into P&A for new markets through Change Management responsible for streamlining P&A Product Compliance Library leading testing and certification to ensure documentation is valid & conform carrying out risk assessments and representing product compliance across the business familiar with ISO 9001 requirements, maintaining and improving quality management systems for parts and accessories to meet internal quality and customer standards. attentive to detail by drafting, reviewing and refining compliance procedures ensuring clarity and accuracy demonstrating resilience and a proactive work ethic in driving the implementation of new processes and continuously improving compliance practices seeking to contribute, collaborate and create a collective success as a team by listening to others' perspectives, sharing knowledge, and offering mutual support adaptable and able to cope with the unexpected, manage problems effectively and efficiently a good self-lead mindset with good stress management as business is constantly evolving You will have: successfully completed a technical degree (Master's/Diploma/Doctorate) in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering or a comparable field of study. also been able to gain relevant professional experience in product safety and product conformity in dealing with corresponding EU-directives, UK Law, APAC-Legislation, etc Product- & Process Audit experience, qualification desirable knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. REACH/RoHS/prop65) and directives (e.g. 2023/988, 2023/1542) and have experience in materials management (e.g. plastics, textiles, leather, etc) experience in interactions with ERP/MRP systems, document control (e.g.: PDM, SAP, SharePoint) and project management tools (e.g. Wrike, MS Projects). some knowledge and experience in Product Quality and Sustainability great communication skills in multiple languages What's in it for you?
