We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Yorkshire Region, working across our West Yorkshire sites consisting of HMP Leeds Category B remand, HMP Wakefield Category A and HMP Wealstun Category C. Within this role you will be working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team across all 3 sites.
Hours
Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm
We can offer some flexibility with shift times if required.
This position is a full time role working 40 hours per week, you'll receive an annual salary up to £189,900 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide excellent clinical care, assessment and treatment to patients on the case load onsite.
* Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments and provide clinical supervision.
* Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi-professional complex case reviews.

Qualifications required
* Registered professional with current registration (GMC).
* Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.
* Approved under section 12 (2) of the MHS 1983.
* Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
* Up to date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PD.
* Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy and legislation.
