Job Title: Year 3 Teacher (Long-Term Supply) Pay: We can pay anywhere from £140 to £220 for this role. Start Date: After Easter 2025 End Date: Summer Holidays 2025 Job Type: Long-Term Supply Job Description: Reed Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join our client's team on a long-term supply basis. This role involves teaching children aged 7-8 years old, ensuring they receive a high-quality education and reach their full potential. The position will commence after Easter and run until the summer holidays. Our client is based in Doncaster, and has good public transport links. Ofsted judges the school to be Good, and offers particular praise to behaviour and curriculum. You will have access to a Teaching Assistant full-time, and you will receive PPA time for one afternoon per week. Collaberation with colleagues when planning is highly encouraged and year-groups run sessions together, aiming to share best practice and reduce workloads. Key Responsibilities: Planning and Delivering Lessons: Create engaging and interactive lesson plans in subjects such as reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. Classroom Management: Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students. Assessment: Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. Provide constructive feedback and track progress. Adaptation: Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. Communication: Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and needs. Professional Development: Commit to continuous professional development and stay updated with the latest educational practices and policies. Person Specification: Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A relevant degree followed by postgraduate training (e.g., PGCE). Experience: Previous experience teaching Year 3 or similar age group is preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of the national curriculum. Effective classroom management and behavior management skills. Ability to plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
