Year 3 Support Assistant for Child with Global Learning Delay Position: Learning Support Assistant Location: Kirkham (PR4) Start Date: February 2025 Salary: £12.90-£13.50 per hour Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in providing tailored educational support for a child in Year 3 with Global Learning Delay. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a significant difference in a young learner's academic and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for the child, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met. Implement and adapt learning strategies tailored to the child’s needs, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO. Assist with classroom tasks, creating a supportive and inclusive environment. Monitor progress and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and regular review meetings. Encourage social interaction and support the child in developing key skills. Requirements: Experience working with children with additional needs, particularly Global Learning Delay (preferred). A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with children. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent, are desirable but not essential.
