JOB SUMMARY To be at the forefront of delivering high quality community and school-based coaching sessions to children of all ages and abilities. To ensure that sessions are fun, inclusive and are delivered in-line with the Foundations Coaching fundamentals and which encourage participation to enable individuals to develop, reach their potential and enjoy physical activity. The role will includes delivering other sports, as well as other related areas of coaching such as fundamentals and multi-skills. Our community sports coaches will deliver across holiday camps, targeted and inclusion programmes, schools delivery programmes, matchday activities and grassroots football. KEY ROLES AND REPSPONSIBILITIES Plan and deliver inspiring, interactive and engaging sessions for all participants to provide an outstanding professional and enjoyable learning experience. To create sessions which enable individuals to develop their skills and abilities. Promote healthy lifestyle choices and provide educational information through the power of sport. To work as part of an effective camp team during holidays. To work to a set itinerary across a variety of programmes. To create a safe and positive environment for all participants to engage in sports activities To ensure that all delivery is inclusive. Plan appropriate coaching sessions based on needs of specific programme and individuals. Ensure all administration processes are implemented for sessions including registers, payments, session plans and registration forms are up to date and processed correctly. Support the talent ID process for all players. Support and maintain relationships with all participants and key stakeholders i.e. Head Teachers, tutors, partners, players and parents etc. To work in line with and contribute to coaching curriculums and resources To ensure all programmes are delivered in a safe environment adhering to BCFC Foundation policies and procedures. To prepare and implement structured and progressive coaching programmes ensuring high quality, enjoyable coaching experience centred on the needs of the participants To show commitment, motivation and enthusiasm, to enhance standards of coaching both personally and within your coaching programmes To attend all meetings, professional development and appointments as requested by your line manager. Liaise with programme leads to ensure all monitoring and evaluation is completed as per the programme requirements. Assist in the delivery of competitions including Kids Cup, Girls Cup and locally organised tournaments and events Work with less experienced coaches to support their development To work across programmes to meet the needs of the organisation as and when requested by your line manager. To create a safe and positive environment for all participants to engage in sports activities. Refrain from promoting alternative provision which is in direct competition with BCFC Foundation. Deal with customer complaints and escalate in line with the Foundations complaints policy. Log and maintain details relating to all accidents and incidents. Support with all Foundation marketing and social media. PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential Right to work and residency in UK Minimum Introduction to Coaching Football Qualification Current FA Safeguarding Certificate Current FA First Aid Certificate Experience of working with young people and adults including those who are vulnerable Self-motivated and able to work proactively using own initiative. Ability to lead/instruct others and to maintain a values-driven culture. Exceptional organisational, communication, and teamworking skills Ability to work collaboratively across departments. Ability to develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships. Competent IT, computer, and mobile technology skills.
