Manufacturing Engineer
As a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong Electrical background, you will spend time on the manufacturing floor including Assembly, Metal Finishing, Shipping, Receiving, and Stock Room, identifying and correcting issues that adversely affect productivity. You will be responsible for determining the root cause and then implementing corrective actions and coordination of problem resolution. You will be able to build strong positive relationships with all levels to maintain positive contacts when making changes to ensure buy-in. Must be able to lead change through setting examples and influence.

Working with Mechanics, Supervision, and Staff to identify processes for improvement.
Develop and implement plans to collect appropriate data for analysis of current state (Productivity factor, standard labor hours, TAKT time, On Time Delivery, etc.).
Using Lean tools, evaluate the results of the improvement plan and execute additional steps to improve as needed (following PDCA).
Drive the use of ERP (M3) system on the manufacturing floor to increase productivity. Create standards and product structures and update ERP (M3) system as required.
Executing action items to enable implementation of new manufacturing processes.
Act as Lean champion/facilitator for Operations.
Drives improvements to 5S+1 throughout production areas.
Maintain and update visual assembly documents that supplement assembly drawings.
Responsible for reviewing and making recommended changes to improve efficiency of assembly processes and overall equipment effectiveness.
Maintenance and implementation of product structures and routings in ERP system.
What You Bring
* Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced engineering, design, analytical development or application work in a Lean manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with basic assembly processes and methods to improve productivity (man hours, equipment capacity utilization, etc.).
* Excellent computer skills including familiarity with ERP systems, the Microsoft Suite, and ability to read and understand assembly schematics and drawings.
* Ability to ensure timely completion of all activities and remaining on schedule.
* Outstanding communication skills with the ability to instruct and train others on appropriate procedures and improvement process methods.
