We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Night Support Worker to join our Homelessness and Complex Needs Service in Kensington & Chelsea.

Night Support Workers enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licenses and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
This shift pattern for this role is 21.00 - 8.00 on a rolling rota.
All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the UK by the start of employment as Look Ahead are not able to offer sponsorship.
What you'll do:
1. Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager.
2. Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions.
3. Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
4. Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
5. Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community.
6. Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to.
7. Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards.
8. Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team.
9. Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible.
What you'll bring:
* Up to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent or experience in the social care/charity sector.
* Experience working in homelessness.
