This role will play a key part in the development of the UK & Ireland business, strategy and team, alongside the senior leadership team, marketing and category teams.
The Head of Ecommerce is responsible for the LOOKFANTASTIC UK & IE ecommerce delivery (revenue, gross profit, and EBITDA), owning the co-ordination and activation of everything customer-facing and all related business processes including budgeting, trade planning, setting strategic direction and being centrally involved in the delivery of relevant eCommerce projects. To highlight the scale of this role, the revenue represents 50% of the total beauty retail budget.
In addition, a successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with key stakeholders to build a high-performing UK and Ireland eCommerce team and contribute to guiding the wider team and culture across all functions in the Manchester office.
As a Head of Ecommerce, you'll:
* Leverage your market understanding to influence LOOKFANTASTIC global-first eCommerce strategies supportive of the UK & IE market, and to drive independent local strategies and initiatives to support the delivery of our key strategic priorities.
* Collaborate with the senior leadership team, marketing, buying and finance to generate annual, quarterly, and monthly budgets.
* Develop UK & IE annual, quarterly, and monthly eCommerce targets for metrics that matter alongside your marketing counterpart (traffic, orders, sales, CVR, AOV, new customers, retention rate).
* Set the standard and guidelines for the customers experience on our .com and IE locales and enable and empower the eCommerce team and stakeholders to deliver these.
* Oversee regional managers of ecommerce in developing annual, quarterly, and monthly trading plans.
* Provide critical analysis on sales and profitability tracking and performance, work with relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
* Collaborate with stakeholders in global and wider territory teams to ensure we have the correct processes to deliver our business objectives, including buying, marketing, merchandising, finance, subscriptions, data, campaigns, operations, and customer service.
* Collaborate with buying and merchandising to form and translate brand, category and pricing strategies and ensure effective management of the global stock holding to improve availability and reduce aged stock value.
* Collaborate with central and channel marketing to contribute to localised marketing and trading strategies.
* Recruit, lead, and develop an eCommerce trading team of 10, including leading other leaders. Be fully accountable and proactive in all aspects of leadership (e.g. team structure and succession planning, performance management, development).
* Own your position as one of the senior leaders in the Manchester office, take responsibility for wider initiatives to promote the success of the office, culture, and team morale, in collaboration with the global head of ecommerce.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders across technology, eCommerce and buying to ensure we’re continually analysing site experience and opportunities to optimise this both internally and externally.
What Skills and Experience Do I Need?
* The ambition, motivation, and determination required to build a high-performing team and drive business transformation.
* 7+ years experience in commercial roles in a D2C eCommerce environment, including considerable experience in a leadership role in eCommerce trading in the UK.
* Significant proven experience building and developing a medium to large sized team, including recruitment, performance management, and team health and culture building.
* Proven experience delivering cross-functional success across matrixed organisations.
* Appropriate competency with relevant tools and software (e.g. Excel Suite, Google Analytics, Tableau, Content Square) to allow for the governance of, and upskilling of team.
