Our client, a respected law firm, is seeking a Newly Qualified to 2 PQE Solicitor to join their reputable and highly ranked Construction Litigation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-stakes construction litigation cases within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. The role can be based in either Cardiff or Swansea and offers hybrid working.
About the Role
As a key team member, you will engage in diverse and complex construction disputes, working closely with senior solicitors on a wide range of contentious matters. You will handle litigation and dispute resolution cases, including contract breaches, professional negligence claims, and project delays, focusing on delivering client-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Dispute Resolution: Manage a variety of construction litigation cases, focusing on high-profile disputes.
* Litigation Support: Assist with court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations, including drafting pleadings and witness statements.
* Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering clear and practical advice tailored to their needs.
* Legal Research & Documentation: Conduct thorough legal research and ensure case file management aligns with regulatory requirements.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to support case preparation and contribute to strategy discussions.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A solicitor qualification in England & Wales (NQ to 2 years PQE) with experience in construction litigation.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* A commercial outlook with a proactive, can-do approach to problem-solving.
