This test technician / engineer role involves investigating, fault finding and resolving any electrical harness or loom issues to support the development of new and existing machinery systems.
* This is a “hands-on” test role where you will be working on validation and verification tests, diagnosing issues on the machines and modifying electrical harnesses and looms
* As an Electrical Test Technician / Engineer you will support test packages and the design teams with suggested changes.
This role would suit test technicians, test / validation engineers, service engineers or technicians with a broad range of hands-on electrical fault-finding skills to understand and test electrical schematics, harness systems and looms for any part of the machine.

* HNC, Apprenticeship or degree in electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, automotive or similar
* Demonstrate ability to take responsibility for the electrical fault finding and build of electrical subsystems, harness modification and working with design teams to suggest changes
* Background working on heavy machinery, automated machines, generators, rolling stock, automotive, Oil and Gas or similar
* Ability to work as part of a large team interacting with engineers internally as well as external suppliers and test facilities
* Fault tree analysis / FMEA / practical problem solving
* Knowledge of CANoe, CANalyser or general CAN based systems ideal but not a pre-requisite
* This role would suit electrical test engineers, technicians, electrical service engineers, validation engineers or military personnel with strong electrical skills.
* Anyone with good practical engineering skills outside of work would also do well in this role – tinkering with cars, bikes, engines, any electrical machine system etc.
