We seek an experienced and proactive Head of Operations and Education to oversee daily operations, manage employee performance, and drive continuous improvement in our processes. This is a key leadership position that will ensure the smooth running of the organisation, allowing our staff to focus on delivering excellent educational and enrichment services. The ideal candidate will have significant team management experience, preferably in education, charity or animal management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide strategic leadership for both operations and education functions
2. Ensure compliance with educational standards, Ofsted requirements, and operational regulations
3. Manage and develop the senior leadership team across both departments
4. Oversee curriculum development and delivery of educational programmes
5. Maintain quality assurance across all operational areas
6. Manage budgets and resources effectively across both functions
7. Develop and implement policies and procedures
8. Lead safeguarding practice and health & safety compliance
9. Build relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities and parents
10. Drive continuous improvement in educational outcomes and operational efficiency
11. Oversee staff development and training programmes
12. Ensure effective systems and processes across the organisation
13. Lead change management initiatives
14. Monitor and evaluate service delivery and student progress
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
1. Degree in Education or related field
2. Senior leadership experience in education
3. Operations management experience
4. Financial management expertise
5. Strong knowledge of SEND and alternative provision
6. Experience with Ofsted frameworks
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
8. Strategic planning and implementation skills
9. Excellent organisational and time-management skills
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills
11. Familiarity with SEND provision
12. Ability to obtain an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
1. Masters degree in Education/Management
2. Experience in land-based learning
Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
