Purchasing Assistant

Salary – up to £32,000 + benefits – Healthcare, life insurance, bonus plus others
With over 45 years of expertise in their field, I am working with a leader who, due to continued success, is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join their highly successful team on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement you will:
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies
2. Identify potential suppliers and conduct supplier evaluations
3. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement
4. Procure goods, materials, and services
5. Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance
6. Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand
7. Manage customs paperwork
8. Perform other ad-hoc duties
About you:
1. 2+ years of experience in purchasing or a supply chain role
2. Strong negotiation and contract management skills
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages
