Job summary We are looking for a Medical Secretary for 16 hours per week to support our clinical teams, we will consider a flexible working pattern to cover these hours. We are a busy GP Surgery supporting 6000 patients locally in our area. Main duties of the job Typing and audio-typing referral letters to hospitals and other healthcare providers using word processing software and the surgerys clinical systems. Processing referrals using the Electronic Referral System (ERS) and Cinapsis system and keeping up to date with system changes. Dealing with patient queries concerning referrals to secondary care / other healthcare providers. Typing administrative letters and other documents when required using a range of software including word processing, publishing, database, and spreadsheet applications. Updating patient records, including coding of entries and scanning of documents. Maintaining strict confidentiality.
