The post holder is responsible for the management of a defined caseload of patients with specialist continence care needs. The post holder will carry out the assessment of those needs, working with the treating teams in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of measures to support both the patient and those close to them. The jobholder will provide specialist nursing care and advice to a specific patient group and will contribute to the development of the speciality service. The post holder will ensure cost effective use of resources. The post holder will work alongside the Band 7 and other nurses within the team. The job holder provide information, education, advice and support for patients with continence problems and will support staff in clinical areas with planning and evaluating patient care needs pertinent to good continence practices. The role requires good communication / organisational skills and close liaison with all members of the clinical/MDT Team.
