The purpose of this position is to Support and advise the business on health and safety, environmental and quality legislation, policies and procedures and ancillary information provided by SHEQ in the southern area of the NCP estate. Assist with the implementation of these across the business and promote the sharing of best practice in order to continually improve standards and performance Duties and Responsibilities The role will be responsible for ensuring all our operations are free from hazards when conducting site visits, doing patrols or health and safety inspections. Furthermore, helping to prevent them happening, spot them when they occur and making them safe so that people or property will not be adversely impacted. The role holder may be asked to undertake other duties, as required, which are not necessarily specified in this role profile, but which are commensurate with the grade for this role. It may be amended from time to time within the scope and general level of responsibility attached to this role. Personally, promote SHEQ and role model the NCP safety culture by minimising exposure to risk, ensuring a safe working environment and assisting in investigating all accidents and incidents. Providing a professional health and safety / environmental / quality service across the business including coaching (1-1), to groups and presentations to the business at all levels. Carry out compliance checks across the business against the standards in the policy and guidance, reviewing the findings with operational management and agreeing actions. Complete Root Cause Investigations at all levels including the production of professional but succinct reports. Support and develop close working relationships with Operational teams to engage all key stakeholders to maintain good environmental, health & safety and quality practice and legal compliance. Support all aspects of the business including all product bases and ensure strict adherence to Industrial business requirements. Promote the sharing of best practice. Assist with the implementation across the business of all health and safety, environmental and quality policy and practices issued from SHEQ. Deliver against planned activities & KPIs. Promote improvement in SHEQ performance. Produce customer satisfaction metrics where required. Develop the competency of the managers and staff within the organisation with respect to SHEQ. Engage in the preparation and completion of all accreditations that are appropriate to business need. Following up actions from various outputs to ensure timely closure. Monitor environmental, health and safety & quality performance, including accident and incident trends and make recommendations regarding issues identified.
