A bit about what you will be doing: Reporting to the Group Financial Controller the Financial Accountant will be responsible for the full accounting management of the support office, property and capex departments, ensuring timely completion of daily and month-end tasks, working alongside the full finance function and operational teams to ensure provision of accurate accounts and reporting to the business. Key Responsibilities: Full responsibility of month-end related tasks for all 12 central support office department P&Ls and balance sheet reconciliations. Provision of commentary vs budget and prior year for all support office costs for monthly review meetings. Full responsibility of the property portfolio management including monthly postings, balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow reviews and liaising with third party landlords and advisors. Full responsibility of the capex portfolio management including balance sheet reconciliations, review of spend vs budget, cashflow reviews and liaising with internal operations teams on spend. Daily updating of the cashflow for the group and liaising with the senior finance team on any significant changes. Twice monthly preparation of the property pay-run in line with funds due and any relevant agreements etc. in place with the relevant landlords. Regular updating of the property cashflow reflecting actual invoices received, new lease agreements, agreed payment plans etc. Regular provision of turnover rent information to landlords in line with relevant deadlines. Regular collation of data and information for any insurance related claims across the group and working closely with the Senior Group Management Accountant on ongoing claims. Annual preparation of the property and capex budgets • Annual preparation of the support office budgets ahead of review by Senior Group Management Accountant. Joint responsibility for the Group Admin mailbox to ensure all related queries are responded to in a timely manner. Full responsibility for the management of the Property and Capex mailboxes. Submission of all required ONS data requests. Year-end audit contact for support office central costs testing, property and capex accounting queries. Consistently reviewing and improving processes to help the business operate more efficiently whilst ensuring adherence to finance policies. Liaising with other Finance departments to ensure related parts of the management accounts are accurate. Build strong relationships with the team, wider Finance and the Business. To assist in other duties as necessary that may be required. Candidate Requirements: Desirable candidate will have 2:1 Degree, 3 A levels (A- C) and GCSEs (English/Maths) Successful candidate will ideally have an accounting / business degree or be in progress with an accounting qualification with a good understanding of accounting concepts or strong experience in a similar role Strong Excel skills, comfortable handling large data sets Strong verbal and written communication skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management skills and able to work under pressure Attention to detail Hardworking, good attitude and eager to learn At D&D London, we celebrate diversity in all its forms.
