In addition, the Head of Department makes regular contributions to the School’s Life Skills programme for all years from Year 7 to Year 13. Topics explored include budgeting, financial wellbeing, banking, debt and enterprise. Enrichment opportunities offered have included lectures, visits to businesses, a regular clinic, participation in essay competitions and Economics Club for younger Years.
The Economics Department consists of two teachers and is located in our Old School House, an attractive historic building which houses the Sixth Form facilities with collaborative spaces and excellent IT provision. The Department’s resources are shared with students and staff via MS Teams and include periodicals such as the Economist and a subscription to the FT. Both staff contribute and share high quality classroom and assessment resources.
