We’re looking for an Area Operations Manager to join our HCA UK Physician Services Group based at our Corporate Head Office.
The Area Operations Manager will lead, direct, manage and develop PSG medical practices in order to provide an efficient, seamless and first class level of service to all its users (including consultants). This will include business development, budget management, monitoring consultant activity, maximizing patient revenue streams and patient activity in addition to developing and implementing administrative standard operating procedures, recruitment of staff and internal practice policies and procedures. You will be responsible for the public image of PSG medical practices, maintaining the highest level of relations with its stakeholders at all times.

What you’ll do:
* Oversee the daily operations of the clinic, including planning, organizing, and implementing programs and activities.
* Provide regular performance reports to the Physician Services Group senior management team.
* Develop, manage, and track the practice budget, including forecasting and expenditures.
* Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
* Communicate any operational issues, staff concerns, or improvement suggestions to the Director of Operations or relevant leadership.
* Maintain strong relationships with doctors, vendors, and other healthcare facilities.
* Arrange coverage for secretaries during their absence.
* Manage staffing and HR-related information in HCA databases.
* Address patient complaints promptly and compassionately, following HCA policies.
* Provide leadership to ensure consultants adhere to agreed practices, protocols, and treatment guidelines.
* Support the Senior Marketing Manager in maximizing revenue opportunities.
What you’ll bring:
* Previous experience in a healthcare or clinic setting management or at least 3 years managing a practice or clinic.
* Demonstrated experience leading and/or supervising others.
* Experience of working in teams and able to promote teamwork and employee motivation.
* Financial management experience including understanding of spreadsheets.
* Working knowledge of practice management software (DGL and/or MedDBase preferred).
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Strong leadership skills.
