About the Bakery NPD Manager job
The purpose of your role will be to play a key role in driving product innovation and ensuring that bakery products align with market trends and company objectives. Our client offers this role as either full or a part time for the ideal candidate.
Key tasks
• Oversee the entire development process, ensuring projects meet time and cost specifications.
• Design and present new, innovative products while continuously improving or re-engineering existing ones to optimise performance and cost.
• Conduct market research to keep the business competitive and identify growth opportunities.
• Drive business expansion into retailers, wholesalers, food service, and third-party manufacturing, actively seeking new opportunities.
About You
• Proven experience in product development within food manufacturing, focusing on innovation and product stability (shelf life, texture, flavour enhancements).
• Strong passion for the food industry and baking, demonstrated in both personal or professional settings.
• Excellent commercial awareness with a deep understanding of market trends and product positioning.
• Self-motivated and able to drive projects independently.
