Join our team today and play a vital role in protecting the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the North Wessex Downs National Landscape. As an Information Officer, you’ll join a passionate team dedicated to conserving and enhancing this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). You’ll support the team and its partners through innovative use of geospatial data, web management and information systems, ensuring our projects, strategies and public engagement succeed. At the forefront of managing the National Landscape’s GIS systems, you’ll provide high-quality mapping and data analysis to inform planning, bids and projects. You’ll ensure the functionality, security and accessibility of our websites in partnership with the Communications Officer, while offering technical advice and training to colleagues. We’re seeking a GIS expert with strong web management experience, a creative approach to problem-solving and excellent organisational skills. Knowledge of environmental or heritage data and its application to landscape conservation is essential, alongside a high level of numeracy and attention to detail. Why us?
